All of my paintings are inspired by local farmland, mostly within a few miles of my home in Greenwich.

"It seems to me that I’ve spent my life designing and creating…. From a forty year career designing and making art clothing, to the never ending restoration and remodeling of my 1790’s house, to the landscaping and gardening that surrounds it. And now oil painting. My work is inspired by the open rolling hills, old farms, historic structures and skies of this gorgeous area of southern Washington County New York. I like to explore and play with the shapes and colors of the landscape, blending realism and Impressionism with the goal of simplicity. I mainly work from photos I’ve taken while driving or walking, occasionally from pleinaire and sometimes from my imagination."
