"My photography has some similarities to my practice of medicine. My eye is drawn to what is changing or about to change. I try to capture fleeting images. I am drawn to the "golden hour" when the quantity and angle of illumination change minute by minute. I like capturing images of newly fallen snow, mist rising after a storm, or animals who refuse to hold a pose. I love the complex and lush landscape of Washington County." .

I spent my career as a rheumatologist working indoors in artificial light, treating individuals with rare, chronic, often debilitating or life shortening diseases.  For the past nearly 30 years, weekends have been spent in Jackson, New York.  The environs have provided sustenance and renewal.
