Lucy Fremont
Growing up in New York City with artistic parents exposed me to the creative life at an early age. Visiting museums with my father to play guess-the-artist are some of my most treasured childhood memories. Our family’s love of the arts inspired me to major in photography at The School of Visual Arts.
After graduation I worked for galleries photographing art for reproduction. From that work, I created a series of photographs linking visual connections between animals and the art they live with. This series can be viewed at my website http://Lucyfremont.com. The photographs have been featured in many articles including Popular Photography, Art and Antiques, New York Magazine, The New Yorker and The New York Times.
My photography has been exhibited in numerous shows and is in many private and public collections.

I was introduced to Washington County when my parents moved here over forty years ago. During many visits to see them I developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and landscape, eventually I settled here permanently. There is always something to capture with the camera on my walks as the seasons change. I support the essential work of the Agricultural Stewardship Association to preserve the beauty that surrounds us.
