Margaret Horn

Creating, building, working with my hands has always been a comforting experience for me. I love the tactile nature of clay. It brings me joy to transition clay into functional art. My pieces reflect the sights and beauty of Washington County. Whenever possible I incorporate clay dug from my own farm into my work. It is the deep chocolate brown self glazing clayI use to add color or texture to a design. A little bit of Easton remains a part of my work wherever it resides. 

I have been honored to be a part of Landscapes for Landsake since 2016.  I am a self taught potter that was seeking out a quiet pass therapeutic pass time. I have been blessed to achieve a level of skill in that passion.  I am grateful that my creativity is warmly received and I have a part in support of farmland protection.
