I find inspiration in almost everything but am recently inspired by memories of my childhood growing up in the country. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #2b00ff;\"\u003eI am drawn to light, shadows, and atmosphere. When I choose to paint something, it’s moved me in some way or another. Originally from the Saratoga Springs area of NY, she drew and painted as a child. However, her love of math and science swayed her to pursue a degree in electrical engineering and computer science at Union College. She moved to Massachusetts more than 30 years ago to pursue her engineering career. The 9\/11 tragedy sent her home with her 3 babies. To balance the challenging job of parenting, Pam returned to her artistic side. She started off dabbling in oils and watercolor before discovering pastels.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePastels are a luscious, immediate medium. The colors, effects, and possibilities are endless. She enjoys experimenting and has recently started teaching classes and workshops to share her passion. Pam has won numerous awards and enjoys participating in conservation related fundraisers. Her work can be seen in area shows, Fruitlands, Petersham Art Center as well as the Saratoga Arts Center and is in private collections in the US and
