Pat Posillico

"My passion is landscape painting. I feel drawn to the light and colors of nature. My greatest joy is turning a blank canvas into a painting with a story and mood all its own, for the viewer to experience for themselves. I feel fortunate that being a landscape painter has given me the opportunity to study and enjoy nature and never take its beauty for granted. My works are painted both in my studio and in plein air. While I do paint other subjects, I am always drawn back to landscapes. I have been fortunate to study under many famous artists. My works have been exhibited at the Salmagundi Club, Blooming Artist Gallery, Saratoga Arts Center, The Huntington Arts Council, Art League of Long Island, Fire Island Lighthouse Art Show, The Long Island Museum, Gallery North and BJ Spoke Gallery. I now live in Clifton Park, New York with my husband. I look forward to painting the many diverse landscapes that Saratoga County has to offer."

Pat grew up on Long Island and worked as a nurse practitioner in cardiology after receiving her master’s from Stony Brook University. As art was always her primary passion, she continued to take workshops and study under many well-respected artists while working as a nurse. She was an active member of the Art League of Long Island for over twenty years, where she studied under with its renowned faculty. Her work was exhibited at the art league receiving honors. She participated in the members exhibit at the Salmagundi club. She also was an active participant of the Fire Island art show for many years. She continued to be drawn to landscapes including farms, pastures, and marshes. She is an active member of the American Woman’s artists association. She recently moved to Clifton Park, where she lives with her husband and near her children. Her work is currently on display at the Blooming Artist Gallery. Her work was recently on display at the Saratoga Visitors center. She has started to study at the Saratoga clay arts center and has been combining her love of painting with her pottery.
