Rosie Badera
After retiring from a successful career as a business executive, I devoted myself to pursuing a lifelong passion for art. During my years as an executive officer for a manufacturing company, I traveled extensively around the world. Whenever time allowed, I visited museums and galleries, drawing inspiration from the beauty and diversity of artistic traditions. I also collected handcrafted ceramic mugs from my travels, developing a deep appreciation for fine craftsmanship and design.
I began painting with acrylics as a way to relax after retirement and quickly discovered a natural gift for color and composition. I later studied pottery before finding my greatest passion in oil painting. Committed to continual growth, I have studied with many distinguished artists, including Kathy Anderson, Randy Sexton, Pat Fiorello, Kevin Macpherson, Michael Shane Neal, Rose Frantzen, Guang Ho , and Adrienne Stein through workshops and online study (New Masters Academy) .
Today, I paint full time, working primarily in oils. Living on the shores of Lake George in the heart of the Adirondacks, I am surrounded by inspiration every day. The lake’s ever-changing light, tranquil waters, dramatic skies, and the beauty of all four seasons continually influence my work. Whether painting en plein air or in the studio, I strives to capture not only the landscape before me, but also the atmosphere, mood, and quiet sense of place that make the Adirondacks so special.
My paintings reflect my appreciation for nature, light, and the timeless beauty of the Adirondack region. My work has been commissioned by private collectors and has been exhibited and sold through local galleries and personal referrals.
