" I live in a beautiful small town in rural, New York. Snuggled up between the mountains of Vermont and the rolling Hudson River Valley. Here the hills surround the famous Battenkill River and its elusive native trout. The valleys and soft hills are dotted with historic family farms, dairy cattle, sheep, and field upon field of corn. Having four distinct seasons gives me ever-changing vistas to work with. The beautiful landscapes and old barns of the Adirondacks and Green Mountains inspire me. I'm attracted by the touch of man's hand on the landscape. The barns and plowed fields and the angles they create in an otherwise soft and rolling landscape beckon me to record them. Sadly, many of the barns that I have painted over the years have disappeared. I’ve been painting most of my life and am primarily self-taught. From my earliest days there were always paints and easel at the ready in our house. During my years in New York City, I became a passionate photographer. Upon moving to Washington County my photography became the tool that aided me to my painting. I work small at first then move into larger formats becoming more energized as it gets larger. Pastels and oils are my medium of choice. I hope you will enjoy viewing my work as much as I did creating it. "
